You have seen many powerful roadsters but there is nothing like new Lotus Evija. This monstrous sports car is world powerful EV vehicle. It is with 2000HP has become the most powerful production car in the world.  Besides that the electric car costs $2.5 million and is limited to 130 cars. Moreover, the car will compete with the upcoming Pininfarina Battista, targeted to have 1,877 horsepower. Pininfarina, a new automaker from the renowned Italian design house, will produce 150 Battistas starting next year.

According to the details, the Evija is all electric and all carbon-fiber, and it makes a staggering 2000 horsepower (2,000 metric hp). Well, for such power, you don’t consider such car for t 0-60 statistics. Lotus says that it accelerate from 0 to 186 mph in 8.6 seconds. A Bugatti Chiron needs 13.6 seconds to reach the same speed.

Besides that, it has speed of more than 200 mph, 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, a curb weight of 3,704 pounds, class-leading structural stiffness, a charge time of 18 minutes with a 350-kW charging station, and a range of 270 miles on the NEDC cycle. Other than this, Lotus also claims its battery pack can be recharged at 800 kW. A full charge would take only 9 minutes. The total range is 250 miles (400 km and battery pack capacity is 70 kWh.

Whereas, the car will features with four electric motors, one for each wheel, but they are mounted in the center of the car for lower unsprung mass. On the other hand, a “single-speed and helical gear ground planetary gearbox” –connects each engine to a driveshaft.

On the other hand, the battery pack is also centrally-mounted, right behind the passenger compartment instead of distributed under the floor. According to Lotus, these e-motors placed in “a bespoke in-line axial arrangement” and have silicon carbide inverters. Besides that each epicyclic transmission is included with the other two components into Electrical Drive Unit.
